Hi everyone,
I’ve decided to start a new blog at a different site. It’s located at bnlayton.blogspot.com. I like the options on that site better and have recommitted to blogging! If you haven’t been officially invited and would like to view it, email me and I’ll send you an invitation! natalielayton@gmail.com.

Maya’s eyes get bluer and bluer by the day. This is one of my favorites. She is so inquisitive it’s almost like you can see her absorbing information and learning new things everyday! Babies are amazing!

We had a picnic with some friends over Memorial Day Weekend at one of the few parks here in San Antonio. I don’t have any pics that let you see the actual park, but I thought these pics of Maya in her sunhat were cute so I thought I’d share!

This little girl definitely wears out her mom. But she’s such a cute little thing I can’t help but love every minute of it. We just got Maya a new bouncer to hopefully allow her to jump out some of that extra energy that seems to grow on a daily basis. She’s hasn’t quite gotten the hang of it yet, so she spends a good part of her time in it trying to eat it. What a funny kid! She’s teething now, so everything is in her mouth, especially her hands, which then go directly up to pull at her remaining hair creating this crazy mohawk.

Yep, it’s that time again! More pictures of Maya. It’s hard to believe she’s now 4 months old and so big! It’s amazing how quickly babies progress. She’s been rolling over like crazy, she just figured out how great sucking her thumb is (which is fantastic news to a mother who never got her baby to take a pacifier), lost most of the rest of her newborn hair (except for the awesome mohawk), and we think is currently cutting her first teeth. She’s tall and skinny (big surprise) and is basically on the go 24 hours a day. I’m pretty sure she’s going to keep her mom on her toes once she becomes mobile.

A lot has happened since I last updated the blog. Maya was blessed, we’ve moved into a new, larger apartment here in San Antonio, and Maya has turned 3 months old! I’m still working on the nursery, so I’ll have to add pictures of that room later. But here are some more current pictures of our little girl!

It’s so fun when you start to see your baby’s personality forming. After battling ear infections for several weeks, we finally get to see some smiles!

Poor Maya has been plagued with ear infections for the past several weeks. She’s been sick almost half her life now! We took some photos of her taking her medicine, which she obviously hates. But we think it’s pretty funny, especially because we don’t have to take it!

Grandma Layton came to visit the new baby this past week. We were glad to have her and were sad to see her go home, even if she will be back in just a few weeks for the baby blessing. Here are some pics.

Taylor Wiscombe came to San Antonio for a convention and stopped by to see the baby and say hello. He’s expecting his own little boy soon and I think he was overwhelmed by our unsolicited advice (I can’t believe I’ve become one of those people who talk about my baby’s bowel movements like everyone else is concerned about them). Sorry Taylor.
